Pricing
  • All goods offered for sale through our website are priced in Pounds Sterling (£) and include V.A.T. at current rate. (17.5%)
  • On export sales, Customs and Import duties are not included. The customer is solely responsible for payment of any surcharges. (Please check with your local Customs and Excise office for any duties that may have to be paid).
  • Prices do not include delivery or carriage charges.

Payment Terms
  • In full with order. We accept payment by cash, cheque (drawn on a major UK bank) in Pounds Sterling (£) and we accept the following Credit/Debit cards: MasterCard, Visa, Delta, Switch, Solo & (American Express, Telephone Orders Only).
  • All goods remain the property of Tile-Style until payment is received in full. Seven days must be allowed for goods paid by cheque, and five days for credit/debit cards, before goods are despatched.
Delivery
  • We will endeavour to despatch all completed orders within 7-10 days.
  • If any delay occurs you will be notified immediately. You will be given the option to arrange a convenient delivery date or to cancel the order with a full refund.
  • Please advise us if you do not receive your item(s) within 10 days of placing your order so that we can trace your order. Overseas orders may take longer.
  • Please note that when you pay using the secure server, the delivery charges will be shown on the CardPAY Information screen (UK orders only).
  • Delivery will be to the nearest vehicular access point, and please note, attendance and assistance with off-loading is required.
  • Extra charges will be levied for second or subsequent attempted deliveries, or for standing time.
  • There will be extra charges also for delivery to certain UK locations, e.g. Highlands and islands, London congestion charge areas, and/or overnight, week-end or timed deliveries. Please enquire for rates at time of order.
  • Orders between 6-20kg will be charged at carrier rate.
  • Orders above 21kg to 1000kg will be charged at pallet rates. Please see our Delivery Charges section.
Samples
  • Sample parcels are restricted to a maximum of 5kg.
  • All sample tiles are charged at full retail price + p & p (£7.95. UK only)
Supply
  • Our products are supplied on the strict understanding that their nature is fully understood and accepted. As many of our products are natural or hand made, there will be variations in size, colour, and texture. Samples should be taken as only indicative. If matching existing tiles, a sample of current stocks should be requested for comparison.
Returns
  • All orders are carefully checked before despatch. Occasionally, items are damaged or defective and we will make every effort to rectify the situation.
  • We will do our best to ensure that you are fully satisfied with your purchase.
  • If the goods are damaged in-transit or faulty, please notify us within 48 hours of receiving them. Keep all the packaging material and we will arrange to have the item returned at our expense. You will be given the option of having the product replaced at no charge to you on a convenient date, or to have a full refund. This does not affect your statutory rights.
  • Goods that are not acceptable for any other reason may be returned within 10 days but you must contact us first for authorisation. Goods returned which are not defective or faulty will be returned to us at your own cost with adequate insurance to cover the cost of the goods against loss or damage, and may be subject to a re-stocking charge of 20%. All returns are subject to our discretion. This does not affect your statutory rights.
  • With regards to multi-coloured slate and some terracotta, no refunds will be given until all returned tiles have been thoroughly checked, as no refunds will be given on any tiles that have been oiled or sealed, or as in the case of multi-coloured tiles, a predominance of any one type of colour way is found.
  • Any tile subject to a special order or direct import for the customer will be on a non-refundable basis, and subject to a minimum 50% cancellation charge.
Claims
  • No claims of whatever nature will be accepted once the tiles are fixed. The responsibility lies with the customer, or their agent to fully inspect the goods before fixing. It is also the responsibility of the customer or their agent to ensure that the person fixing the tiles is capable of doing so and fully understands the procedures involved. Please refer to our fixing and sealing section.
Handling Complaints
  • We endeavour to acknowledge all complaints within 5 working days.
  • We will advise you of how long it will take to resolve the complaint and keep you informed throughout the process.
Tilers
  • A list of your local tilers is available. (Taken from the Yellow Pages data base)
  • Any contract is strictly between the customer and tiler. We do not accept any responsibility for the quality of fixing and/or measurements.
Customer Measurements
  • Whist every effort to assist with calculations of customers measurements will be made on our part, we cannot be held responsible for any errors made.
Crazing
  • No tiles are guaranteed against crazing, and indeed some materials may have limited suitability for the intended area of use. Please enquire before ordering as to suitability.
Characteristics
  • These are natural products and some will show chips, cracks, blemishes and imperfections, and slate tiles may show chisel marks. Samples can only be taken as representative of the material. Hand made wall tiles may show colour variation, crazing and imperfections; this is a characteristic of these tiles. All slate tiles are multicoloured to varying degrees and may show considerable variation from the sample shown. All colours of slate will include a proportion of plain tiles.
  • Being natural and handmade products, sizes are nominal and may vary by up to 5%; any tiles showing a greater variation than this should be reserved for cutting.
